Bethlehem, Palestine

Bethlehem, "House of Meat" or “House of Bread”, (بيت لحم in Arabic; בֵּית לֶחֶם in Hebrew) is a small historic Palestinian city located in the Judaean Hills, about 6 miles south of Jerusalem, 37 miles southeast of Tel Aviv, and 45 miles northeast of the Mediterranean Sea. It is an important tourist spot since the name of Bethlehem is closely connected with the Bible, and the city was under the rule of numerous emperors, including the Ottomans and Arab rulers. The city is a great place to visit for those who want to touch historic relics and historic places related to Biblical motifs. The Church of the Nativity, The Mosque of Omar (Umar), the Palestinian Heritage Center, Milk Grotto Church, Solomon's Pools, Palestinian Heritage Center, Saint George's Monastery, The Crib of the Nativity Theatre and Museum, The Badd Giacaman Museum, Baituna al-Talhami Museum, and The International Museum of Nativity. It is also home to Bethlehem University and the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music.
