Northside is one of the six major regions of Jacksonville, Florida, located along the St. Johns River and covering the northern portion of the city. Known for its peaceful residential areas, Northside Jacksonville also features expansive nature reserves, state parks, and forests, offering a balance between community living and outdoor recreation. While the area is primarily suburban, it also includes a number of local businesses and commercial centers. Northside is home to a campus of Florida State College at Jacksonville. The region is easily accessible via major highways, including Interstates 95 and 295 and U.S. Routes 1, 17, and 23.

Transportation and Accessibility
A key transportation hub in Northside is the Jacksonville International Airport (JAX), located just 13 miles north of Downtown Jacksonville at 30°29'39.6"N 81°41'14.0"W. Opened on September 1, 1968, the airport serves the Jacksonville metropolitan area.

Rail travelers are served by the Jacksonville Amtrak Station, located at 3570 Clifford Lane (30°21'55.7"N 81°43'26.7"W). Since its opening in 1974, the station has provided rail access with its two passenger platforms.
