Pecos National Historical Park is a large historical park and an old historic natural preserve operated by the National Park Service, located in the state of New Mexico, to the south of Pecos, 28 miles southeast of Santa Fe and 83 miles northeast of Albuquerque. The park was the location of the Battle of Glorieta Pass. It is composed of a few units, including a visitor center, the Ruins Trail of Pecos, and Pecos Pueblo. It is considered one of the most valuable historic landmarks in the region. Interstate 25 serves the area. Pecos National Historical Park has been designated as a U.S. National Historic Landmark on October 9, 1960. It also has been listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places since October 15, 1966.
