Sangam Vihar is a small residential district and a former small town located in the southern neighborhood in New Delhi, the capital city of India. It can be found a bit to the south of a large district of Hauz Khas, and the area is located really very close to the border between New Delhi Capital City Area and the state of Haryana. The district shares borders with the neighborhoods of Tughlakabad, Tigri Extension, Nai Basti, Raju Park, South Sainik Farm, and other outskirts towns of New Delhi. Even though it used to be a small independent settlement in the early 20th century, Sangam Vihar has already become a part of the capital city area and is a part of Sainik Farm, a large southern district of New Delhi.

Together with the other nine districts, Sangam Vihar is a part of an administrative division known as South Delhi Lok Sabha constituency. The area is quite crowded, with a large number of heavily populated residential blocks located throughout the district. Sangam Vihar is the place where the neighborhood blocks starting from G2 and ending with M2 are located. There are a few large hospitals in the area, including RK Hospital and a few other great public health care facilities. There are also many good public schools and social life related facilities like shopping centers, markets, and so on. There is a lack of green zones in Sangam Vihar as there is only one park, Sangam Vihar DDA Park, which can be found in the northern part of the district.
