Starring Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, Colin Farrell, Andy Serkis, John Turturro, and Peter Sarsgaard, the film introduces a darker, more detective-focused portrayal of Bruce Wayne / Batman, played by Robert Pattinson. The Batman was released by Warner Bros. Pictures on March 4, 2022, and received critical acclaim for its cinematography, performances, and gripping narrative. A sequel, The Batman – Part II, is set to be released on October 2, 2026.
The Batman (2022) was filmed in England, UK. Liverpool was used for many of Gotham City’s iconic locations, including St. George’s Hall, which served as Gotham City Hall. Several action scenes and city shots were filmed across London. The interior scenes also took place at Cardington Studios and Warner Bros. Leavesden Studios, England.
