The Burj Khalifa (برج خليفة) is one of the most famous skyscrapers in the world and a remarkable modern building located in the central district of Dubai, in the coastal area of the United Arab Emirates. With a height of 2,717 feet (about 828 meters), it is the tallest man-made building on the planet. Designed by a team of American engineers, the Burj Khalifa was opened on January 4, 2010, and is now used as an office center as well as a residential building. It is a major tourist attraction. The observation deck on the 124th to 126th floors offers breathtaking views of the city. The elevator that takes visitors to the observation deck is the fastest in the world. 

The building is truly fascinating and is one of the most well-known landmarks in Dubai. The Burj Khalifa was formerly referred to as Burj Dubai. It is situated in the central district of Dubai known as Business Bay. The building overlooks Sheikh Zayed Road and the coastline of the Persian Gulf. Nearby tourist attractions include the Dubai Mall, one of the largest shopping centers in the world; Dubai Opera; the world-famous Dubai Fountain, known for its Dancing Fountain show; and Burj Khalifa Park, which features diverse and unique flora. The area can be easily reached by car or by metro, as there is a metro station with the same name located nearby.
