Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (छत्रपती शिवाजी टर्मिनस एरिया) is an old railway station and an architectural monument in Mumbai, central India. Built between 1878 and 1888, designed by Frederick William Stevens and Axel Haig, the station was designed to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria and thus has got the name of Victoria Terminus. Now, the name of the station is changed, and the station is simply known as VT. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2004. The station is a famous landmark and was used as a filming location in Slumdog Millionaire.
