George Peabody Library is an old research library associated and managed by Johns Hopkins University and located in the center of Baltimore, on the campus of the Peabody Institute. The library was founded in the second half of the 19th century by a rich man of the city, John Peabody, who invested a lot of money in modernization and development of the city, as well as in some local educational facilities and their support, like the library. The building of the library was built and opened in 1870s and is considered to be one of the most beautiful library buildings in the country. IT is especially famous for its interior, with numerous sections where shelves with the books are located. It is possible to visit the library and enjoy its interior, after a recent 1 million dollars renovation)
