Jebel Akhdar (الجبل الأخضر) is a mountain, a part of the Al Hajar Mountains in Oman, located to the southwest of Bald Sayd, a mountain village. The highest point of the mountain is 2,980 m (9,780 ft). It is considered one of the highest peaks in the country as well as in eastern Arabia. It is known as a subject of the Jebel Akhdar War which occurred from 10 October 1954 to 30 January 1959. Also, a part of the famous cycling race route, "the Tour of Oman road bicycle race", is located around the mountain.
