Luanda, Angola

Luanda is the capital city of Angola, situated in the northwestern coastal part of the country in southern Africa. It was founded as São Paulo da Assunção de Loanda in the 16th century. It is a large, modern city, as well as the center of industry, manufacturing, business, and transport. There is a major port in Luanda, which connects the country with other nations on the continent. The city's economy is based on producing textiles, clothing, cigarettes, plastic, cement, food, beverages, and other essential goods. 

Luanda is a historic city with many landmarks and attractions, such as Fortress São Miguel, the Museum of Natural History, the National Museum of Slavery, Instituto Nacional do Património Cultural (INPC), Luanda Cathedral, N. Sra. da Nazaré Church, Igreja da Sagrada Família, Museu da Moeda, White Sand Beach, and the National Museum of Anthropology. Aeroporto Doméstico is located close to the city center.
