Masai Mara National Reserve is a famous tourist destination and a large preserve which can be found in the county of Narok, the south western Kenya. Named after the indigenous population of the area, the park is primarily used to gaming and safari kind of activities. The park was established in the early 1960s and in the beginning used to be only a wildlife sanctuary, or the area with unique and diverse fauna and flora. In the late 1990s there were added some facilities for observing animals, and later on for safari and similar kinds of entertainment. Masai Mara National Reserve is sometimes the place where some cultural competitions and events are launched, like the famous photography competition that took place there in the year 2018.
