San Fernando Valley, California, USA

The San Fernando Valley, commonly known as The Valley, is located in Los Angeles County, California, United States. It is bordered by the Verdugo Mountains to the east, the Santa Monica Mountains to the south, and the San Gabriel Mountains to the northeast, and lies about 18 miles from Downtown Los Angeles. The San Fernando Valley includes a mix of neighborhoods and cities, ranging from studio-driven hubs like Burbank and North Hollywood to residential areas such as Sherman Oaks, Encino, and Woodland Hills. It also covers a large northern portion of the City of Los Angeles.

One of the world’s most famous theme parks, Universal Studios Hollywood, is located in the San Fernando Valley and remains a top tourist attraction. The Valley is also home to the legendary Warner Bros. Studios Burbank, located at 4000 Warner Boulevard. The studio features the only studio museum in the movie industry, the Warner Bros. Museum.

Topanga State Park, spanning 13,150 acres, is a popular destination for outdoor lovers. The park offers hiking trails with breathtaking views of surrounding canyons, mountains, and even the Pacific Ocean. The Getty, a world-renowned art museum showcasing European and American artworks along with beautiful gardens, is located just outside the San Fernando Valley. Other attractions in the Valley include the Great Wall of Los Angeles, Valley Relics Museum, Los Angeles Live Steamers Railroad Museum, Starlight Bowl, Japanese Garden, Griffith Park, Sherman Oaks Castle Park, Sepulveda Basin Recreation Area, Lake Balboa / Anthony C. The San Fernando Valley is served by Hollywood Burbank Airport, U.S. Route 101, Interstate 405, and State Routes 23, 27, 118, 134, and 170.
