Stari Most, or the Old Bridge of Mostar, is a really beautiful and historic bridge which is located near the city of Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It connects two bridges of the River of Neretva and is a truly unique constriction preserved from the Ottoman times. The bridge is estimated to be constructed in the middle of the 16th century so it is considered to ebb slightly over 450 years old. It is an arch bridge built of white stone, and the bridge is currently used only for carrying two pedestrian lanes. The total length of the bridge is about 29 meters and the total height of the construction is about 4 meters. The bridge has only one span and it is considered to be a unique monument of architecture, which is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Site list items.
