The Great Blue Hole is a deep hole in the Caribbean Sea situated off shore of Belize. It is about 400 feet deep sinkhole located in the sea, about 50 miles away of the coastal area, and it is a part of the Lighthouse Reef. It is an extremely popular destination for scuba divers who try to reach the area and go deep under water to explore the hole, the reefs and beautiful stalactites there. It was one of the most favourite places of Jacques Cousteau, who loved filming his pieces in the Great Blue Hole. Divers can also enjoy the unique fish they can see down in the hole. It is an important attractions and one of the World Heritage Sites which is under protection of UNESCO.
