Zhangye National Geopark, known also as Rainbow Mountains of Danxia in the province of Gansu, central China, is a unique eco-system and a national park famous for its colorful rocks and really interesting scenery. It is a part of the Quilian Mountains located in the counties of Lindze and Sunan. The eco-park was established in 2005 and has the area close to 125 square miles. The landforms of the park are very interesting and are formed from layers of different colors, ranging from light yellow and brown to bark red and even dark blue. Zhangye Park is voted by the Chinese people to be one of the most special and most beautiful eco-systems of the country.
