Starring Lise Baastrup, Mille Dinesen, Nikolaj Groth, Ellen Hillingsø, Carsten Bjørnlund, and Kristoffer Fabricius, the series follows the life of a very outspoken and unconventional schoolteacher, Rita. Rita was filmed in Rødovre, Sjælland, Denmark.
