Godless is an American period drama Western epic mini-series created, written, and directed by Scott Frank, who received two Academy Award nominations for the screenplays of Out of Sight and Logan. Starring Jack O'Connell, Michelle Dockery, Scoot McNairy, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Merritt Wever, Tantoo Cardinal, Sam Waterston, Kim Coates, and Jeff Daniels, the series was released by Netflix on November 22, 2017. It consists of seven episodes, received very positive reviews, and won three Primetime Emmy Awards.

Godless was mainly filmed at Santa Fe Studios in Santa Fe. Other productions filmed there include The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, Succession, Waco, House of Cards, Cosmos, We're the Millers, and American Primeval. The opening scene of Godless was shot at Cerro Pelon Movie Ranch in Galisteo. The town of La Belle scenes were filmed at San Cristobal Ranch, located at 90 San Cristobal Ranch Road in Lamy. Filming locations also included Bonanza Creek Ranch, Jemez Pueblo, and Santa Clara Pueblo.
