Starring Ethan Hawke, Pedro Pascal, Manu Rios, Sara Sálamo, Pedro Casablanc, José Condessa, Jason Fernández, Erenice Lohan, and George Steane, the film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on 17 May 2023. Ethan Hawke became the second American actor to work with Pedro Almodóvar. Strange Way of Life was shot in and around Tabernas, a municipality of Almería province in Andalucía, Southern Spain. The Tabernas Desert was among the filming locations.
