Busan, South Korea

Busan (부산광역시), formerly known as Pusan, is a major port city in South Korea and the country’s second most populous city after Seoul. It serves as an important business, sports, and cultural hub. Located on the shores of the Korea Strait, Busan is a key transport center and one of South Korea’s largest ports.

The city is home to numerous prestigious universities and educational institutions, including Busan University of Foreign Studies, Busan National University of Education, Dongseo University, Dong-A University, Korea Maritime and Ocean University, Youngsan University, Busan Arts College, and Busan Institute of Science and Technology. Busan has also hosted major international events, such as the 2002 Asian Games and the FIFA World Cup.
