Chicken is a small town situated in the eastern Alaska, the USA. It can be found near Highway 5, about two dozens of miles away from the border with Canada. It was established near the Chicken Creek by a bunch of gold miners who arrived to the area during the times of the Gold Rush. Soon it became the center of a small mining district which, however, is now almost abandoned due to unavailability of the natural resources. The population of Chicken town today does not exceed 10 people in winter, but in summer it increases, both at the expense of tourists and those who come to visit the town with the unusual name. There is an annual music festival which takes place in Chicken and attracts attention of the local music fans.
