Coronado National Forest is a nature preserve and a large mountainous area in the states of Arizona and New Mexico, United States. It is located near Benson, and about 60 miles southeast of Tucson. Founded on April 11, 1902, the forest has a territory of about 1.8 million acres and is considered one of the largest national parks in the US. Coronado National Forest has 8 designated wilderness areas: Chiricahua Wilderness, Galiuro Wilderness, Miller Peak Wilderness, Mount Wrightson Wilderness, Pajarita Wilderness, Pusch Ridge Wilderness, Rincon Wilderness, and Santa Teresa Wilderness. There are lots of campgrounds in the forest, as well as numerous hiking and biking trails.
