McKinley Tower is a notable building and a famous one in Anchorage the capital of Alaska, USA. It is located at 337 East Fourth Avenue and is considered to be one of the oldest multi stored buildings in the city. It was designed and constructed by an architect from Chicago in the early 1950s. In the notorious Alaska earth quake of 1964 the building was slightly damaged and was not restored for a few decades. However at the end of the last century the renovation started and shortly after the building was opened as McKinley Tower Apartment building. In 2008 it was added to the list of the National Historic Places of the United States of America.
