Stockton Street is a street in San Francisco, California, United States. The street is located in Chinatown San Francisco, a very popular tourist destination with lots of Chinese restaurants, stores, and various events. It runs from Market Street near Union Square to Beach Street by Pier 39. There are many markets and shops on Stockton Street, such as the Kowloon Market, the Hop Hing Ginseng Company, and Louie's Produce. Stockton Street also features two department stores: Neiman Marcus and Macy's Union Square. The Academy of Art University is situated at 2300 Stockton Street, near Pier 39. The Stockton Street Tunnel, opened in 1914, runs Stockton Street under a portion of Nob Hill for about three blocks.
