Teller is a small town in the westernmost part of Alaska, USA. It is situated on the shores of the Port Clarence Bay and is a part of Nome census area. The population of Teller is slightly over 260 people. The settlement emerged from a small camp of settlers established there in the end of the 19th century. The first population used to be only about 20 people. The population increased when the first mines were opened in the town, and during the mining boom there were over 5,000 people living in the town. Teller is located on a beautiful setting surrounded by the waters of the Pacific Ocean. Tourists come to the region to enjoy boating, fishing, hiking, and discovering the beauties of the amazing local nature.
