2026 Winter Olympics Locations

The 2026 Winter Olympics (or Milano Cortina 2026), formally known as the XXV Winter Olympic Games, are scheduled to take place in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, from 6 to 22 February 2026. Ski mountaineering will make its Winter Olympic debut at these Games, which will be the first held under the leadership of IOC President Kirsty Coventry.

Opening Ceremony: San Siro Stadium

The opening ceremony of the Games will be held at San Siro Stadium (Stadio San Siro) on 6 February 2026. Closing Ceremony: Verona Arena

The closing ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympics will take place at the Verona Arena (Arena di Verona) on 22 February 2026. Located in the heart of Verona, Italy, at latitude 45.43903 and longitude 10.9943022 (45°26'20.5"N 10°59'39.5"E), the Verona Arena is a stunning Roman amphitheater with a seating capacity of 20,000. It is one of the best-preserved ancient amphitheaters still standing today and hosts the Arena di Verona Festival, a renowned summer opera festival. Its breathtaking architecture and majestic atmosphere make it the perfect venue to celebrate the Olympic spirit during this historic event.
