Davao City, known as the “Durian Capital of the Philippines”, is one of the largest cities in the country, an international port, and the center of Metro Davao. It is located in the southeastern part of the island of Mindanao, within the province of Davao del Sur.

The city is famous for being home to the critically endangered Philippine eagle. It is also a popular tourist destination that attracts thousands of visitors from around the world. Davao City is home to the University of Mindanao, the largest private university in Mindanao, located on Bolton Street in the Poblacion District.

Among the main attractions are the Davao Museum of History and Ethnography, D' Bone Collector Museum, Upside Down House Museum, Mount Apo National Park, San Pedro Cathedral, Museo Dabawenyo, People's Park, Abreeza Mall, Tamayong Prayer Mountain, Aldevinco Shopping Center, and Bankerohan Public Market. The city is also home to SM Lanang Premier, the third-largest shopping mall in Mindanao.
