Denver International Airport (DIA) is the largest public airport in North America located 25 miles northeast of downtown Denver, CO, USA. It is one of the key airports of Colorado state. It serves most of the largest airlines of the world, and 69,015,703 passengers took flights from it in 2019. Opened on February 28, 1995, and owned by the City & County of Denver Department of Aviation, the airport is also the second-largest one in the world. It can be easily reached by special shuttle buses or by taxi from the city. The airport has one terminal, named The Jeppesen Terminal, and 3 midfield concourses. Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge and Barr Lake State Park are close to the Denver International Airport. There are a few attractions at the airport including Blucifer (Blue Mustang) which is a bright blue, with red eyes mustang sculpture created by Luis Jiménez.
