FDNY Ladder 8 (Hook & Ladder 8) is a fire station and a tourist attraction in Manhattan, New York City, United States, located at 14 North Moore Street. It was used for the exterior shots of the Ghostbusters Headquarters in the iconic supernatural comedy film. Hook & Ladder Company 8’s firehouse is a historic Beaux-Arts–style building that opened in 1903. The firehouse gained widespread popularity after the release of the Ghostbusters franchise. It has also appeared in the iconic television series Seinfeld and How I Met Your Mother.
Firefighters from Hook & Ladder No. 8 were also among the first to respond to the September 11 attacks.
