New Cairo City, Egypt

New Cairo City is a satellite city of Cairo, the capital of Egypt, located within Cairo Governorate. It is a relatively new urban area, developed over the past few decades in what was formerly desert land. The city lies in the southeastern part of Cairo Governorate and is known as an important educational hub, hosting several international and private educational institutions.

New Cairo is home to the headquarters of the Ministry of Interior of Egypt, which is part of the Egyptian Cabinet, as well as Future University in Egypt, a private university located on 90 Street. The city also includes the Petrified Forest Protected Area, a natural site estimated to be around 35 million years old and located about 30 kilometers from central Cairo.

The area offers access to many major attractions, including the Egyptian Museum, Cairo Festival City Mall, City Stars Mall, the Cave Church, the Mosque of Muhammad Ali, Al-Azhar Mosque, the Cairo Citadel, Khan Al-Khalili, Al-Azhar Park, Al-Muizz Street, and the Heliopolis district.
