It follows a group of camp counselors stalked by an unknown assailant at a camp near Camp Crystal Lake. The film was released on April 30, 1981, but it didn't gross as much as the first movie. Friday the 13th Part 2 was shot in Kent and New Preston, Connecticut, USA. Camp scenes were filmed at KenWood Camp.
