The Bride! is an American dark comedy monster horror film written and directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal. Following her feature directorial debut, The Lost Daughter, starring Olivia Colman and Dakota Johnson and based on the novel by Elena Ferrante, Gyllenhaal returns with a new reimagining inspired by classic horror literature. The Bride! stars Jessie Buckley alongside Jake Gyllenhaal, Christian Bale, Peter Sarsgaard, Penélope Cruz, and Annette Bening. The film is inspired by Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus and the 1935 film Bride of Frankenstein, and is scheduled for release by Warner Bros. Pictures on March 6, 2026, in the United States.
