The Traitors Locations

The Traitors, also known as The Traitors US, is an American reality television series based on the Dutch show De Verraders, created by Marc Pos and Jasper Hoogendoorn. Presented by Alan Cumming, the series premiered on Peacock on January 12, 2023. It received positive reviews and won eight Primetime Emmy Awards.

Set at Ardross Castle in Scotland, the show follows a group of contestants who live together in a grand castle and compete in challenging missions, while secretly playing a Mafia-style social deduction game in which some players are loyal, and others are traitors.

The Traitors was filmed at Ardross Castle, located in the Highland region of Scotland. The castle is situated in a rural area near the village of Ardross, about 30 miles north of Inverness and approximately 10 miles from Alness. While the estate has older historical roots, the present castle structure dates to the 19th century.

Ardross Castle is famous for its impressive interiors and striking exterior architecture. The castle is set within a planned 19th-century estate landscape that defines the character of the Averon Valley, with the River Alness nearby and dramatic hills and mountains providing a picturesque backdrop. This setting makes the location particularly suitable for film productions. Ardross Castle is also used as a filming location for The Traitors UK.
