The Descent Locations

The Descent is a British adventure horror drama film written and directed by Neil Marshall. Starring Shauna Macdonald, Natalie Mendoza, Alex Reid, Saskia Mulder, MyAnna Buring, Nora-Jane Noone, and Oliver Milburn, the film follows six women who go on a caving expedition, struggle to survive against the strange creatures inside. It was released on 8 July 2005 (United Kingdom) and 4 August 2006 (United States), and won the "Best Horror Film" Award at the 2007 Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films. 

Exterior scenes of The Descent were shot in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. Filming also took place at Pinewood Studios in Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire.

The cave of the swalloves in San Luis Potosi.

In the beginning of the movie when they are descending in the cave, that location is in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, the place is called la Cueva de las Golondrinas.
