Cranford, nicknamed The Venice of New Jersey, is a township in New Jersey, United States, located on the Garden State Parkway and 10 miles southwest of Newark. It was incorporated on March 14, 1871. It was bordered by Springfield to the north, Roselle and Roselle Park to the east, Kenilworth to the northeast, Winfield and Clark to the south, Linden to the southeast, and Westfield and Garwood to the west. Cranford is home to a campus of Union College, founded in 1933.
American Atheists, a non-profit organization founded in 1963, is headquartered in Cranford.
