Weehawken, NJ, USA

Weehawken is a township in Hudson County, New Jersey, United States, located on the Hudson River on the state border with New York. It is part of the New York metropolitan area and was incorporated on March 15, 1859. The Lincoln Tunnel under the Hudson River connects Weehawken to the west with Midtown Manhattan to the east. It carries Route 495. County Route 505, Lincoln Harbor Station, and Port Imperial / Weehawken also serve the area. Weehawken Township is bordered by Hoboken to the south, Union City to the west, West New York to the north, and Manhattan, across the Hudson River to the east. The township has several attractions, such as the Weehawken Water Tower, the Weehawken World War One Memorial, Hamilton Park, Weehawken Dueling Grounds, Weehawken Public Playground, Weehawken Waterfront Park and Recreation Center, the Alexander Hamilton Monument, and Weehawken Pier.
