Cubao, Quezon City, Philippines

Cubao is one of the major districts of Quezon City, which is one of the largest cities and the former capital of the Philippines. Located about 4 miles south of Quezon City’s central area, Cubao is a densely populated urban district made up of several neighborhoods and busy streets.

The area is an important commercial and business center, with numerous office buildings, shopping malls, small shops, cafés, restaurants, hotels, and various entertainment facilities. Cubao is especially known for two of its main landmarks: the Cubao Cathedral and the Smart Araneta Coliseum, a major venue for sports events, concerts, and large-scale shows.

Araneta Center-Cubao Station, located in the district, serves as a key transportation hub and plays a central role in local and regional connectivity. In addition to being a well-developed residential and social center, Cubao also has an important industrial area. This industrial zone is located in the western part of the district and covers approximately 35 hectares. It includes not only industrial facilities and warehouses but also numerous outlets and representative offices of consumer goods companies. Its popularity was driven by strong demand from commercial firms and its convenient access to major road and railway connections. As a result, a similar development was later established in the nearby Eastwood City area.
