Quezon City, Philippines

Quezon City is a very large and modern city located on the island of Luzon. It is a former capital and one of the richest cities in the Philippines. Together with the current capital, Manila, and other major cities such as Makati and Pasay, Quezon City forms part of a vast urban area that is considered one of the largest in the Far East.

The total area of Quezon City is estimated to be nearly 64 square miles, and it is located north of Manila. It is an inland city bordered by Valenzuela, Caloocan, Marikina, Pasig, Mandaluyong, and several other cities. This busy and highly modern urban area is situated in the central part of Luzon Island, about 700 miles southwest of Hong Kong and approximately 720 miles south of Taipei.

Quezon City is a major cultural and political center of the country and contributes significantly to the national economy and education system. It is known for landmarks and attractions such as Quezon Memorial Circle, the Quezon City Arboretum Forest, and the UP-Ayala Land TechnoHub Central Park. The northeastern part of the city is also home to the La Mesa Watershed, a large nature preserve famous for the La Mesa Dam Reservoir and its scenic man-made lake.
