Manila, Philippines

Known as "Alpha - Global City", Manila is the largest and most populous city in the Philippines, the capital of the country, and its principal industrial, cultural, and tourist center. With the number of residents way beyond 2 million people, Manila is considered one of the most populous cities in the country, as well as one of the largest and most modern hubs in the region. It is a very beautiful old settlement, with interesting, unique architecture and traditions heavily influenced by numerous European cultures that used to rule this region during various historic epochs. The city center, located on the shores of Manila Bay, resembles traditional Spanish cities, with its architecture and lifestyle. 

Manila City is a modern community, with people of various cultures and origins living there happily side by side. The city has a long history and plenty of historical landmarks, like a few old fortifications, churches, and the world's oldest Chinatown, considered to be the city's main tourist attraction. It is also home to large shopping malls, including SM Megamall. Manila enjoys plenty of interesting traditions and a really unique culture, which can be characterized by a special local cuisine, plenty of traditional celebrations and social gatherings, special styles in music, and a developed dancing culture. Manila City has been repeatedly named among the world's cities of globalization, cultural diversity, tolerance, and multiculturalism.
