McMahon Stadium is a football stadium in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, located at 1817 Crowchild Trail NW next to Foothills Athletic Park. Owned by the University of Calgary, the stadium opened on August 15, 1960, and has been renovated and expanded several times throughout its history.
It serves as the home field of the Calgary Stampeders (CFL), Calgary Dinos (U Sports), and Calgary Colts (CJFL), and previously hosted the Calgary Boomers. The stadium has a seating capacity of 35,400 and mainly hosts Canadian football games, as well as hockey, rugby matches, concerts, and other events. A record attendance of about 60,000 spectators was set during the 1988 Winter Olympics.
McMahon Stadium has hosted several major events, including the 2011 Heritage Classic, the Grey Cup in 1975, 1993, 2000, 2009, and 2019, and the CFL All-Star Games in 1972 and 1978.
