Odesa, Ukraine

Odesa (Одеса) is one of the most beautiful coastal cities of Ukraine, located on the shores of the Black Sea in the southern part of the country. The first settlement was founded by Crimean Tatars in the 15th century, and three centuries later the city came under Russian rule. Today, Odesa is a popular sea resort, loved by Ukrainians and neighboring nations.

Odessa International Airport is located about 7 kilometers southwest of the city center. Odesa is home to I.I. Mechnikov National University, the oldest university in the city. Other major educational institutions include Odessa National Economics University, Odessa National Medical University, and Odessa National Polytechnic University.
