Formerly known as Municipal Grant Park Stadium (1924–1925), Soldier Field was opened on October 9, 1924, and renovated in 2002–2003. It is home to Chicago Bears (NFL) and Chicago Fire FC (MLS). The stadium was designated U.S. National Historic Landmark from 1987 to 2006. It was also the first NFL stadium to achieve LEED status.
