Doak Campbell Stadium, also known simply as Doak, is a stadium in Tallahassee, Florida, United States, located at 403 Stadium Drive. It was named after Doak S. Campbell, who served as president of Florida State University from 1941 to 1957.
Located on the campus of Florida State University, the stadium opened on October 7, 1950. It has a seating capacity of 67,277 and serves as the home field of the Florida State Seminoles football team. The stadium also hosted the Florida A&M Rattlers football team between 1974 and 1980. It is one of the largest football stadiums in the Atlantic Coast Conference and has been expanded several times throughout its history.
The record attendance at the stadium was 84,431 spectators during a game against Notre Dame on October 18, 2014. A bronze sculpture titled The Unconquered, created by sculptor Fritz White, stands at the south entrance of the stadium. A bronze statue of American college football coach Bobby Bowden, made by sculptor W. Stanley “Sandy” Proctor, is also located outside the Coyle E. Moore Athletic Center.
