Utah, USA

Utah is one of the west-central states of the United States, located in the interior western region of the North American continent. It is one of the largest inland states in the country. Utah shares borders with Nevada to the west, Arizona to the south, Colorado to the east, Wyoming to the northeast, and Idaho to the north. It is among the 15 largest U.S. states, with a total area of about 85,000 square miles.

Salt Lake City, located in the northern part of the state near the Great Salt Lake, is both the capital and the largest city of Utah. Other major cities include Logan, Ogden, Sandy, Provo, St. George, and Bluff.

Utah is widely known for its strong historical connection to the Mormon community and has many landmarks linked to this cultural and religious heritage. The state also benefits from a remarkable geographical location and an impressive variety of landscapes. Spectacular canyons, the Great Salt Lake, Monument Valley, and several national parks and recreation areas are among its main tourist attractions.

Utah is home to numerous national parks and forests, including Fishlake National Forest, Manti-La Sal National Forest, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Canyonlands National Park, Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, and Ashley National Forest. Many of these are among the most visited protected areas in the region.

The northern part of the state is highly urbanized. The Great Salt Lake, covering an area close to 3,300 square miles, is one of the largest lakes in the United States. The Colorado River and the Green River are the two largest and most significant rivers flowing through Utah.
