The film was released by Focus Features on October 24, 2025, in the United States.
Bugonia was filmed in Greece and England. Sarakiniko, a stunning beach known for its white rock formations on Milos Island, was used as a filming location. Filming also took place in various places in Georgia, United States, including East Point, Griffin, and Atlanta. Additional filming took place at BlueStar Studios in Forest Park and Arborfield Studios in England.
