Skate Kitchen is an American teen drama movie written and directed by Crystal Moselle. Starring Rachelle Vinberg, Dede Lovelace, Nina Moran, Kabrina Adams, Ajani Russell, Jules Lorenzo, Brenn Lorenzo, Jaden Smith, and Elizabeth Rodriguez, the film follows the story of a group of female skateboarders in New York City. It premiered at Sundance on January 21, 2018, and was released on August 10, 2018, in the United States. A spin-off television series, Betty (2020), created by Moselle, includes most of the cast of the film.
Skate Kitchen was shot in New York City and Long Island, New York, USA. Filming also took place at LES Coleman Skatepark, located at 62 Monroe St & Pike St, New York.
