Buffalo, NY, USA

Buffalo, nicknamed the Queen City, is a city in New York, USA. It is the seat of Erie County and the second-most populous city in the state. The city enjoys a strategic geographical location at the mouth of the Niagara River, in the eastern area of Lake Erie. It is situated on the Canada–United States border and is home to the world-famous Peace Bridge, connecting the two banks of the river and the two nations.

A major economic and industrial center of the region, Buffalo is known for its architecture, numerous bars, restaurants, galleries, parks, and points of interest such as Buffalo Central Terminal, Buffalo AKG Art Museum, Buffalo City Hall, Buffalo Naval Park, and Frank Lloyd Wright's Martin House. Though it is not one of the most touristy cities, there are many attractions and activities in Buffalo.

The city was founded at the beginning of the 19th century and incorporated as a city in 1832. Traditionally, the area was inhabited by people engaged in agriculture due to abundant water resources. Over the last two centuries, Buffalo has developed as a center of manufacturing, services, technology, and education, with major employers including the University at Buffalo, governmental institutions, food production companies, and other large businesses.
