Chillicothe, known as Home of Sliced Bread or The Highway City, is a city in Missouri, United States, and the seat of Livingston County. The area was originally inhabited by the Osage Nation and the Missouria people before Europeans came. The city is located in the central part of the county at the intersection of U.S. Highway 36 and U.S. Highway 65, and 90 miles northeast of Kansas City. Missouri Route 190 also serves the area.

The city has several points of interest, such as B&B Theatres Chillicothe Grand 6, Grand River Historical Society, Cultural Corner Art Guild & Gallery, and Simpson Park. Wallace State Park is located about 64 miles west of the city.

Chillicothe is known as the Home of Sliced Bread because the Chillicothe Baking Company began offering pre-sliced bread -the first of its kind in the world- through local grocers on July 7, 1928.
