The Champ de Mars (Field of Mars) is a large public landscaped park located at 2 Allée Adrienne Lecouvreur, Paris, France. The Champ de Mars is situated between the Eiffel Tower and the École Militaire. Nearby metro stations include La Motte-Picquet–Grenelle, Champ de Mars-Tour Eiffel, and École Militaire. Named after the Campus Martius, the park originally served as the school’s parade ground. It was the scene of the best-remembered festivals of the French Revolution: the Festival of the Federation, known as Bastille Day, on 14 July 1790 and the Festival of the Supreme Being on 8 June 1794. It was also the site of Expositions Universelles between 1867 and 1937. The park will host Beach Volleyball at the 2024 Summer Olympics and five-a-side football at the 2024 Summer Paralympics.
