Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium: Home of the Texas Longhorns

Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium is the home of the Texas Longhorns (NCAA) and is located on the University of Texas campus in Austin. Formerly known as Texas Memorial Stadium, it is situated at 405 East 23rd Street. The first game at the stadium was played on November 8, 1924. Designed by Herbert M. Greene, the stadium has undergone numerous renovations over the years. With a seating capacity of 100,119, it is one of the largest stadiums in the United States and ranks ninth in the world. Record attendance at the stadium occurred on October 19, 2024, with 105,215 spectators.

The stadium is located less than two miles from downtown Austin and is surrounded by other sports facilities on campus, including the Moody Center, Mike Myers Stadium, and the UT Recreational Sports Center. It is easily accessible via bus services or Interstate 35.
