Memorial Stadium: Home of the Nebraska Cornhuskers

Memorial Stadium is a football stadium located in Lincoln, Nebraska, United States, on the University of Nebraska–Lincoln campus. It is the home field of the Nebraska Cornhuskers football team. The stadium opened on October 13, 1923, and has undergone several renovations and expansions over the years. It has a seating capacity of 85,458.

Memorial Stadium mainly hosts American football games, but it has also been used for high school football, volleyball, baseball games, concerts, and other events. The record attendance at the stadium was set during a volleyball match -Volleyball Day in Nebraska- on August 30, 2023, when 92,003 spectators were in attendance. The stadium has also hosted benefit concerts, including Farm Aid on September 19, 1987, and served as one of the filming locations for the movie Yes Man (2008).

Memorial Stadium is located near Interstate 180 and is surrounded by several sports facilities and tourist attractions, such as the University of Nebraska State Museum – Morrill Hall, UNL Campus Recreation, the Sheldon Museum of Art, and Mabel Lee Recreation Fields.
